In the name of Allah,
Most Gracious, Most Merciful,
Praise be to Allah,
the Cherisher and Sustainer of the Worlds,
and Peace and Prayer be upon the Final Prophet and Messenger. Abdullah Yusuf Ali, The Holy Quran

NOTE: I wrote this last night
I just came back from a UAI talk here in Seremban. My intention was to fill my time with something beneficial rather than the mindless cartoons I have been indulging lately, which I have to say was quite severe considering the fact that I actually played tug of war with my 3 YEARS OLD nephew for the TV remote control...
Anywho, so my sister in law told me about this programme, or the 'kuliah perdana' here in Seremban. So I decided to join her and I have been itching anyway to see what is it about this particular ustaz that excites the country to the core.
The ustaz arrived an hour late due to the heavy traffic in KL so he arrived some time around 8.30 pm (the lecture was supposed to be a 'kuliah maghrib').
Oh, just an interesting note of observation, there's a lot of people and we were almost packed like sardine in a can, and we actually sat on a field. It's really spacious but again, there's like the whole China of people there. True story.
So it would be almost impossible to know when the ustaz would arrive if not for the ruckus that these guys caused upon his arrival. I almost forgot that I was at a religious talk setting because it does feel a lot like I was at a rock concert. And yes, UAI is a rock star, apparently among these youths.
People were standing, squatting, name it. Everyone was so eager to listen to him though I couldn't help but wonder what is their main goal of coming since I only saw them lighten up when the ustaz made funny commentaries(which to my dry sense of humour, he is INDEED hilarious).
Nonetheless, the talk was great and since the new year is approaching, he talks about 'niat' or intentions and it was great. I said great too much didn't I?
His talk got me pondering about my own new year's resolution...and yeah, it seems I have a lot to resolve. So I'll be spending my first Awal Muharram as a wife with Mr. Zauj in Johor.
This will be my first time ever travelling alone to Johor by bus and I can't wait for tomorrow!

We have to believe He does."
