So, what have I been doing?

To be honest, these last few weeks have been really occupado and stressful. I was dealing with so many things. Last week I needed to present for my clinical teaching session and I was feeling real beat when it was time for the presentation, my patient refused to be presented on so we had to resort to handling the presentation elsewhere. It was truly a blow to my already unstable emotions and it took me a lot of strength to not cry when I was being told off by the patient, his wife and also another very actively participating patient of the opposite bed. They were like, "He needs to rest. Go away you bad, bad student."

get out crazy rabbit

Of course, it is obvious that patients need to rest. I know that. I have already clerked the patient a day before and he told it would be alright but it seems that he changed his mind. I totally get it. Of course, you have difficulty in breathing (he has congestive cardiac failure mind you) so you must be really tired from answering my questions. But know this, I did not want to do it. If it was up to me, I wouldn't have come in the first place. But I had to. I have no choice but be the bad guy to disturb obviously struggling patients who happen to be relevant to the case that we were learning during that week. But I keep in mind that they wouldn't have known that. They were just tired laymen who knew nothing of the system, so that eased my heart a wee bit.

And just yesterday, I had my Dental Examination and Diagnosis exam. We were given 10 minutes to examine and diagnose the 'patient' who is technically among our classmates and when the 10 minutes are up, we had to present to the doctor in charge of our respective group in 15 minutes. I was the 2nd last to present for my group and by the time the doctor showed up, I have already lost my nerves and what I wanted was only for the exam to be over to go to the toilet. But alhamdulillah, my presentation went well and I feel quite good about it. I just hope I'll get a good grade for it.

Anyway, enough about that, I am finally in Seremban after 3 weeks full of stress and stuffs. Time for me to rest. Also, I finally get to open my parcel.

I ordered this for our anniversary and I had it made by Crafted By Mei. I am really impressed with her efficiency and I have to say, for a cancer survivor, she's one tough cookie to make it this far. I have to caution you girls about this website. If you're into vintage and beads and charms, this is the website to go and really, you should avoid going to this website if you're an uncontrolled shopaholic because EVERYTHING is really pretty! I literally clawed through my hair looking at all those charm bracelets and I feel like buying them all. I really like custom made stuffs. I just like to feel unique you know? But then again, if you're planning to buy your girlfriends a birthday present, this is the place to go if your friend likes key chains, charm bracelets or simply, bracelets. They're all so pweddy I feel like crying.

boohoo crazy rabbit

Oh and ps, the rabbit is back.

My dad's turn

because ALLAH is with me.... Earlier today i was shocked by a text message sent to me from one of my aunt from my dad's side. "Why didn't you tell me that you've become a Muslim? Sampai hati tak bagitau, bukan perkara tak baik pun." This raised a question mark in my head. Who told her? She's a Muslim by the way. Then onwards, after a few exchanging text messages, i finally come to a realization. I have to tell my dad before he found out from someone else. That would be worst. So, i started to type on my cellphone. "Daddy, i've become a Muslim. Ever since i'm at KTT. I am telling you via sms so that you will be clear of why i am doing this and so that you will not hear this from other people who might exaggerate the story. I didn't become a Muslim because i have a boyfriend. Not because i was influenced by my friends. And also not because i wanted to join PAS. But because i have taken interest in Islam ever since i'm at...

Mummy

Finally, after 1 and a half years(maybe more), the truth is out. I confessed to my mum about me being a Muslim. When I first told her, she was upset and angry. She asked me: Who influenced you into being one? Did u have a boyfriend? Who converted you? Did you know that it’s a big sin to convert when you are already baptized?! I was silent all the while she was bombarding me with her questions but Alhamdulillah, I feel calm and unmoved. I didn’t feel guilty at all. So I told her, Mummy, nobody forced me to become one. No, that is not the reason I become a Muslim. Do you notice that I’ve become more closer to you since past one and a half years?  And my mum said yes, you’ve become better but still… Then I said, it is because of Islam that I changed from my old ways. I used to yell at you but since I became a Muslim, I learned how to be better, to appreciate my parents better. And then she said something I expected she would say. No wonder you didn’t pass your ...

A letter for you

Date: 4th of September 2009 Assalamualaikum to my fellow sisters and brethrens, who will be one of the occupants in Jannah, insyaAllah. First of all, this is a letter that I composed to all viewers. A letter full of my real thoughts and dwellings, a letter of hope and pain, a letter of almost the truth. So here goes nothing. Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, Dear brothers and sisters, The thing that triggered me to write such a letter is a post, that I read on someone’s blog. It reminded me, well, of about everything . Every single thing that I worked for, every single thing that I fought for. Yes, my story had started long enough, ever since I was back in high school. 2007.... My friend was fasting. I felt excited because I tried fasting too and it’s in the fasting month, yes, I remembered it well. I followed my Muslim friends where I woke up early for sahur and break my fast at Maghrib. I was doing it because I thought it would be fun and why not, since I was dead eager to k...
