Back in the old days, in the time when light bulbs only belong to the rich, back when disease is thought as a punishment for sins, change is something so unacceptable it would kill people to move out of their comfort zone.
But today, change is so normal that it has somewhat evolve into a catchphrase.
"The world is changing."
"You need to change."
"We need change."
These are the few of the many quotes that we always say. There's even a song about it. Today, everyone wants to change and like a skin whitening ad, there has to be an agent or an accumulation of agents that drive us to change.
So is trying to be a better Muslim.
The changing agents are already there.
